About The Position

This is a senior role at the heart of Citi's Fund Services outsourcing and oversight framework. You will manage the end-to-end governance of offshored and outsourced operations for Funds Services in NAM, drive a robust controls environment, and engage directly with regulators, auditors, and executive leadership. Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in financial services, with strong technical knowledge of Fund Products and regional regulatory requirements.
• Audit experience is beneficial — either in internal audit or practice — within financial services, including direct experience managing audits and interfacing with external auditors and regulators.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously; strong project management capability is a plus.
• Proven track record of engaging and influencing senior management and clients with confidence and credibility.
• Solid understanding of risk management frameworks and processes.
• Strategic & Global Mindset: Comfortable navigating a matrix organisation and thinking beyond immediate remit.
• Leadership: Proven ability to coach, develop, and inspire talent across jurisdictions; skilled at driving complex change in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure relevant governance and legal documentation covering individual relationships between NAM and Citi COE sites (Service Level Agreements, Performance Level Standards Document, ICSA’s) are in place, up to date and complied with.
• Ensure the service provider maintains and administers renewal agreements and holds regular business reviews of outsourcing performance.
• Maintain the Due Diligence Schedule and perform due diligence reviews of Outsourced Service Providers, producing reports for review by on-shore management and the service provider.
• Manage and track remediation plans for issues identified during Due Diligence reviews of service providers, with regular progress updates to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local regulatory requirements as required.
• Ensure that a robust and appropriate governance oversight model and oversight governance framework is in place to manage outsourced service providers.
• Liaise with key stakeholders outside of Funds to ensure all off-shore and outsourced arrangements and migration plans are within Citi policies, influencing policy changes where necessary.
• Drive opportunities to develop and broaden the scope of the off-shored/outsourced Governance framework and review opportunities to implement the framework across the wider GFS community.
• Lead audit and exam preparedness as necessary, serving as the primary interface for external regulators (e.g., OCC, KPMG) and internal reviewers (Internal Audit, Compliance).
• Co-ordination and management of client and investor due diligence requests and on-site visits.
• Evaluation of Significant Control Events (e.g. negative metrics trends, operating losses and “at risk” balance, frauds) for area of responsibility including: Participating in BSER Ops evaluations including oversight over accuracy of manual metrics.
• Ensuring MCA controls in place adequately cover risks for area of responsibility and regular self-assessments are complete and accurate.
• Participation in significant Operations Projects to provide proactive support and control evaluations (e.g. system development or major process/policy changes ensuring deficiencies/concerns are addressed prior to implementation.
• Understand Risk and Controls in general as the function applies to a Funds operational environment.
• Be prepared and able to support the general risk and controls group with activities non-outsourcing related.
• Obtain, edit and consolidate data for monthly/quarterly reporting as required (e.g. BRCC, Disclosure Committee, Regulatory Returns, etc.).
• Constantly strive to find new ways to develop and improve processes.
• Implement best practice across locations to achieve high quality output.
