About The Position
The Fund Accountant will work across BTG Pactual Global Alternatives’ strategies, including private equity, private credit, and direct private investments (collectively, the “Funds”). The position was created in response to AUM growth and increased responsibilities within the group. The hire will contribute to accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, tax, treasury, valuation, operations, and other finance-related functions for the Funds and the investment manager.
Requirements
- Strong academic background.
- Team player with excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills.
- 2–3 years of relevant public accounting work experience in the asset management industry.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, problem-solving and multitasking abilities, and strong organizational skills.
- Self-starter who is motivated, takes ownership of work product, and can work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with private equity and/or private credit.
- CPA license.
Responsibilities
- Help ensure the accurate and timely presentation of financial statements and footnote disclosures for the Funds.
- Assist in coordinating external audits.
- Support communication with outside service providers, including administrators, auditors, and tax consultants.
- Assist with Funds’ expense accruals, tracking and payment, and allocations.
- Prepare quarterly NAVs for private equity and private credit vehicles.
- Assist in reviewing new fund creation and closing investment transactions.
- Coordinate with the administrator on capital calls, distributions, and other investor communications.
- Perform treasury functions for the Funds.
- Assist in preparing regulatory and compliance reporting.
- Assist in tracking portfolio investments, including maintaining private credit interest schedules and reconciling interest income and principal payments.
- Assist with investor questions and other investor relations tasks as needed.
- Complete ad hoc project-based work.
