About The Position

Eckerd Connects is seeking Clinicians and Social Workers to join our expanding team in the Pittsburg area as Functional Family Therapists (FFT). This FFT model offers a flexibly scheduled, low-caseload environment (8-10 clients) focused on clinical work and making a genuine difference in the lives of families and children. The position involves remote case management with required travel throughout the assigned area for home therapy visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in a licensable academy field such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related subject area.
  • 2 years of applicable full-time work or intern experiences with delinquency population, including individual, group or family counseling.
  • Hybrid position: requires setting up an office from home for case management.
  • Must be able to provide 24 hours, 7-days/week on-call crisis intervention to clients.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
  • Must have an appropriate and valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance.
  • Must be able to drive for business purposes.
  • Must be capable of travel and driving within counties covered by the caseload for required in-home visits.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Licensure as a Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor preferred.
  • Preferred at least 2 years of in-home service and previous experience with FFT.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and provide direct clinical treatment using Functional Family Therapy (FFT) principles and practices, documenting treatment efforts clearly and concisely.
  • Provide weekly one-hour, home-based family therapy sessions to families with adolescents aged 10-17, carrying a caseload of 10-12 families for an average of 12 weeks.
  • Conduct FFT assessments, including reviewing referral information, engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and analyzing problem behaviors within their ecological context.
  • Utilize the Strengths and Needs Assessment (SNA) at the onset of treatment and at discharge, administering it within 72 hours of client intake.
  • Engage primary caregivers and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
  • Identify the nature of family relationships, risk and protective factors for each family member, and the impact of behavior patterns on the family.
  • Implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, and outcome review/strategy revision procedure using the FFT Analytic Process.
  • Develop an individualized service plan or update any pre-existing plan for the youth/family, ensuring their involvement in the plan development.
