Functional Family Therapist
About The Position
Merakey is seeking a Functional Family Therapist to join their team in Kennett Square, PA. This role involves conducting family therapy sessions using the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model, with services provided in the family home or community settings. The therapist will manage a caseload of 10-12 families, scheduling sessions around the family's availability. Extensive training, supervision, and consultation are provided to ensure fidelity to the FFT model, which is an evidence-based practice. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, similar to Family Based services, with the possibility of occasional Saturdays. There is a mandatory in-office meeting every Monday.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation or a related human service field is required.
- 1-3 years experience working with children/adolescents and their families in a similar role is required.
- Ability to travel to client’s homes for the purpose of providing community and home-based services for children, adolescents, and families.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have their own reliable vehicle.
