Functional Family Therapist
About The Position
Empower Community Care is seeking a motivated and compassionate Functional Family Therapist to provide individualized therapy to families in home, school, and community settings. The therapist uses a strengths-based, solution-focused approach and supports family engagement, communication, problem-solving, and positive parenting. The role includes coordination with schools, community organizations, and other service providers, as well as crisis intervention to support family safety and stability. The therapist provides individual, family, and/or group therapy, maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation, collaborates with care teams, and complies with clinical and regulatory standards. The role includes participation in training, supervision where applicable, and team case staffing. The position is located in Fulton County/Atlanta and is salaried, with compensation ranging from $51,993.10 to $63,344. Placement in the range depends on licensure level, education, and experience.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized therapy to families in home, school, and community settings using a strengths-based, solution-focused approach.
- Engage family members in therapy and support their involvement in treatment, emphasizing communication, problem-solving, and positive parenting techniques.
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, service providers, and care teams to coordinate client support.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to families dealing with immediate issues or emergencies while ensuring safety and stability.
- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Participate in initial and ongoing training, supervision where applicable, and team case staffing.
