Functional Family Therapist

Cayuga Centers•Rochester, NY

About The Position

Cayuga Centers is hiring a Community Based Clinician (FFT Therapist) for its Functional Family Therapy program in Monroe County, New York. This temporary-to-possibly-permanent position pays $62,500–$64,500 annually, based on education. The FFT program serves youth ages 11–18 and their families. It uses a family-focused approach that recognizes families’ strengths and supports them in working together to prevent out-of-home placement, rebuild relationships, and reunify the family. Over 12–16 weeks, families work with clinicians through the FFT phases of engagement: motivation, behavior change, and generalization. The clinician applies clinical assessment, evaluation, and family mental health therapy skills; provides strengths-based, trauma-informed care and therapeutic case management; and learns and uses an evidence-based treatment model. The position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and working flexibly to meet families when they are available, including evenings and possibly weekends. The role is based in the community and involves travel to appointments and activities using a personal vehicle.
