About The Position

The FFT Therapist provides Functional Family Therapy (FFT) virtually and/or in the home to up to 10 voluntarily participating families at a time who reside in New York City. The pilot program serves young adults ages 16–25 referred after an arrest, offering an alternative for families and young people who might otherwise face incarceration. FFT is an evidence-based, intensive, home-based family therapy model. The therapist participates in FFT training, consultation, program reviews, and agency supervision. Alongside therapy, the role involves collaboration with service providers and justice-system stakeholders, including the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) and the New York City Criminal Justice Agency (CJA). The therapist completes FFT documentation and reporting requirements, follows therapeutic and engagement requirements, and assesses family safety and risk.
