Joining the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC), a subsidiary of TMX Group, means becoming part of the critical infrastructure that ensures the fluidity and security of the Canadian economy. As a Central Counterparty (CCP), our role is vital: we act as the safeguard of trust for the derivatives and fixed-income repo markets. By ensuring the integrity and stability of exchanges between major financial institutions and pension plans, we enable the market to operate with confidence, even in times of volatility. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technological field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • Minimum of 3 years in functional analysis and 5 years of overall experience in software architecture.
  • A natural ability to understand complex technical-financial environments.
  • Full proficiency in both French and English (oral and written) is required, as you will interact with internal and external stakeholders who communicate primarily in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of financial markets (post-trade, derivatives, or fixed-income repos).
  • Ability to read C++ code (essential for system reverse engineering).
  • Knowledge of UML
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reverse engineering of existing services to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Serve as the pivot point between architects, developers, and QA analysts.
  • Ensure the sustainability of knowledge by accurately documenting system functions.
  • Guarantee that operations comply with the rigorous standards of regulatory bodies.
