This role involves leading the development of HV Energy Management system features & functions, interfacing with various teams like R&D, electrical architecture, software developers, production, quality, and customer experience. The position is responsible for the end-to-end development of these features, covering key technical areas such as Power Modes and Power Distribution, Contactor Control, HV Bring-Up and Shut Down, HV Safety, and Range/SOE/Energy Based Driving Statistics. The Function Owner will define system level requirements for hardware, software, features, functions, and architecture, acting as a liaison between cross-functional teams and collaborating through the system "V" development process from concept to launch. This role requires acting as a subject matter expert for assigned functions throughout the product development lifecycle, managing requirement definition, documentation, and adherence to vehicle specifications, legal regulations (FMVSS, SAE, OBDII), and internal standards. Domain knowledge of SW controls, EE, and Electronics, along with expertise in mechatronics systems development, testing, and validation is essential. The role also involves developing component and system design, functional and EOL specifications, test methods, and DFMEA, DV, PV for complex mechatronic systems, managing technical releases, and championing first principles design methodology for problem-solving. Additionally, the Function Owner will lead sprint planning and daily standup meetings, and develop/maintain Best Practices.
