Scout Motors is bringing back an iconic American vehicle, electrifying and digitizing it with American innovation. We are seeking a Function Owner for HV Energy Management to lead and coordinate the work of all Function Owners, ensuring exemplary requirements development. This role involves owning the HV Energy Management system features and functions, interfacing with R&D, electrical architecture, software developers, production, quality, and customer experience teams. The position is responsible for the end-to-end development of HV Energy Management features and functions, including key technical areas such as Power Modes and Power Distribution, Contactor Control, HV Bring-Up and Shut Down, HV Safety, and Range/SOE/Energy Based Driving Statistics. The Function Owner will define system-level requirements for hardware, software, features, functions, and architecture, acting as a liaison between cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle. This role requires a subject matter expert in HV Energy systems, responsible for requirement management, including defining, documenting, and managing functional and non-functional requirements in alignment with vehicle specifications and regulations. Experience with SW controls, EE, Electronics, and mechatronics systems development, testing, and validation is essential. The role also involves developing component and system designs, functional specifications, test methods, DFMEA, DV, and PV, managing technical releases, and championing first principles design methodology. The position is based in Novi, Michigan, requiring 4 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and potential travel.
