About The Position

Jumpseller is a SaaS platform that helps small businesses manage their online businesses and e-commerce activities. The company has offices in Porto, Portugal, and Santiago, Chile, and describes its culture as international and fully remote.

Jumpseller is seeking an analytical, product-driven Full-Stack Engineer to help build and improve its e-commerce product. The role involves developing clean, modular, scalable code for systems handling millions of records, designing features from specifications, building and maintaining automated tests, and working with Customer Support to resolve technical issues and identify service improvements. The successful candidate is expected to take ownership of their work and contribute in an informal, global-market environment.

The recruitment process consists of a CV and cover-letter review, a 30-minute introductory interview with the People Department, a case study for selected candidates, a 45–60-minute final interview to discuss the case study and a significant professional project or achievement, and an offer letter.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in backend development using Ruby, along with frontend experience in React.
• Hands-on experience or academic focus in AI/Machine Learning, and an interest in building scalable e-commerce solutions.
• Analytical, mathematics-oriented, and technically strong profile.
• Native proficiency in Portuguese and professional working fluency in written and spoken English.
• Based in Porto, Portugal; the posting states a strong preference for candidates in the northern region.
• Team-player approach.
• AI-native mindset: use AI as a core part of development, including multiple parallel agents, to build features faster, solve complex problems, and increase engineering productivity.
• Communicative, proactive, and transparent.
• Interest in developing e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, modular, reliable, and scalable code designed to handle millions of records.
• Design new features from the ground up based on specifications.
• Build automated tests for code and help improve and maintain the existing test suite.
• Work with the Customer Support Team to resolve technical issues and identify ways to improve the service.
• Take responsibility, autonomy, and ownership of work.
