About The Position

Marshalltown Community School District (MCSD) is seeking several full-time substitutes to work in their buildings (Marshalltown High School, Lenihan Intermediate School, Special Education-districtwide) on a permanent basis. The purpose of a full-time substitute is to fill in when certified staff are absent and to maintain a consistent presence in the building. These positions will ideally be assigned to each building but may be shared among buildings depending on the number of viable applicants. MCSD is centrally located in Iowa in Marshalltown, a district with over 5,000 students and roughly 900 full- and part-time employees. The district includes 6 elementary schools, one intermediate school, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative high school.

Requirements

• Valid, active teaching license OR substitute authorization.

Responsibilities

• Fill in when certified staff are absent.
• Maintain a consistent presence in the building.
