About The Position

Bucks County Community College invites applications for a Full-Time Special Term Contract Instructor position in Computer Science within the School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics for the 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate Computer Science and Information Science courses, including introductory computing, programming, computer science sequence courses, Python, database design, web programming, systems, networking/cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other emerging technologies. Teaching responsibilities may also include courses that contribute to the College’s general education curriculum. The position requires a strong commitment to community college teaching, student-centered pedagogy, student advising, curriculum development, assessment of student learning and program outcomes, transfer preparation, and workforce-responsive program growth. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across multiple instructional modalities, including in-person, online, and hybrid formats.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in computer science or a directly related discipline.
  • Demonstrated professional and/or academic preparation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or applied AI.
  • Must be permitted to legally work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in Computer Science or Machine Learning.
  • 5 plus years of college teaching experience.
  • Community college experience.
  • Ability to help expand AI-related curriculum.
  • Ability to support interdisciplinary integration of emerging technologies across STEM and career programs.

Responsibilities
