The Next Door Recovery provides a continuum of evidence-based substance abuse and mental health services for women in an environment of faith and healing to restore hope and a lifetime of recovery. The Full-Time Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care for clients who are being served through The Next Door Recovery’s continuum of care. This position is scheduled for a minimum of 36 hours/week and requires two holiday shifts per year. The role involves providing clinically excellent care throughout the nursing process, including assessing, determining outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for individuals withdrawing from various substances. The nurse will provide direct nursing services, administer medications, and execute patient admission and discharge activities. Collaboration with the medical leadership team is essential for developing and revising policies, procedures, and clinical protocols, as well as coordinating an interdisciplinary team approach to client care. The position requires adherence to the Standards of Addictions Nursing Practice and compliance with Tennessee Board of Nursing Laws, Rules, and Regulations. Reporting clinical incidents, maintaining therapeutic milieu, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation are key responsibilities. The nurse will also assist with triaging clients for provider evaluation and maintain a safe environment in the medical suites. Continuing education is required to maintain licensure and certifications.
