About The Position

A family in Brentwood, CA is seeking a fantastic educationally-minded nanny for their 6.5-year-old son. The role is live-out and full-time Monday through Friday 2pm-9pm. The child is going to school in the fall so the role mainly involves after-school care including driving, help with homework, and creating/implementing developmentally-enriching activities. The role begins mid-August 2026.

Requirements

Must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record
Fluency in English
Former educator/teaching experience

They prefer the candidate to hire only works for them, I.E., doesn't work in the mornings for another family
Bonus if a second or third language is spoken

Responsibilities

Creating developmentally-enriching activities/adventures (bonus if they involve educating on AI and/or Tech)
Being able to jump in and facilitate doing a science project with the child or a themed (I.E., studying dinosaurs) museum trip is needed for this role; a nanny passionate about education, exploration, and adventure
Picking up the child from school (family doesn't have a car for the nanny to use so must have their own car)
Preparing after-school snacks and meals for him (I.E., dinner)
Overseeing his nighttime routine (bathing, brushing teeth, etc.)
Doing his laundry
Can sleep over on occasion
Contacting a vendor if something in the home needs fixing/repair
