Full Time Faculty - Surgical Services
About The Position
The faculty member will be responsible for instructional delivery in Surgical Services, including Sterile Processing, Surgical Technology, and related coursework. This includes curriculum development and ongoing management to ensure alignment with industry standards, accreditation requirements, and evolving workforce needs. The role also involves supervision and coordination of compliance and regulatory standards, student assessment and success support, and professional and institutional engagement. Collaboration with program leadership is key to maintaining strong clinical partnerships and ensuring high-quality experiential learning. Support for online and blended learning, including course development, instructional design, and technology integration, is also required. Full Time Faculty teaching assignments will be based on student and program needs and will include lecture, lab, and clinical components. Courses are offered fall, spring, and summer semesters and include day and evening hours hosted at a variety of classroom locations and healthcare facilities. Local travel will be required.
Requirements
- Surgical services professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sterile processing and/or surgical department operations
- CRCST certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a related healthcare field
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in surgical services
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, clinical partners, and community stakeholders
- Up‑to‑date immunization records and negative TB screening
