About The Position
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Full-Stack Web Developer to maintain and enhance capabilities supporting DAF CLOUDworks at the Air Force Research Lab. DAF CLOUDworks is a secure cloud program with teams working in information security, infrastructure development, and cloud migration. The developer will support customers using DAF CLOUDworks and modify and enhance offerings to meet new requirements, improve functionality and efficiency, and reduce operating and deployment overhead. The role follows Agile and full-lifecycle development practices, works across geographically dispersed teams, and involves communicating project status and blockers. The position may require 24x7 on-call support. The posting describes potential future positions and does not represent a current opening. Travel is 10% of the time. Relocation assistance may be available. An active Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI.
Requirements
- For Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in a Science discipline and 5+ years of software development experience, or a master’s degree and 3+ years of related experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- For Level 4: Bachelor’s degree in a Science discipline and 8+ years of software development experience, or a master’s degree and 6+ years of related experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI.
- Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification per DoD 8570.01, such as CASP+ or Security+, within 60 days of the start date.
- Experience developing full-stack web applications using technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, CSS, Lambda, APIs, NoSQL databases, and Python.
- Experience with UI styling.
- Understanding of version control systems such as Git.
- Experience in AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience developing applications using Agile principles, processes, and tools.
- Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in cloud adoption, environment prototyping, and data migration.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, analytical, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and interface effectively with geographically dispersed teams.
- Ability to support 24x7 on-call when required.
Nice To Haves
- Active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or IAT Level II equivalent per DoD 8570.01.
- Prior development experience with the Department of Defense.
- Strong understanding of web security, including WAF, SQL injection and XSS prevention, and authentication and authorization through Zero Trust workflows such as IAM and RBAC.
- Experience with GitLab runners and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with document databases such as DynamoDB.
- Exposure to or experience with frameworks and technologies such as React, Angular, Java, and JavaScript.
- Experience with SonarQube or other static code analysis frameworks.
