Full-Stack Software Engineer
About The Position
Band helps businesses grow margin by managing and optimizing trade agreements. Band combines flexible, AI-driven contract and incentive structuring, data cleansing, and integrations to give distributors, manufacturers, and buying groups or GPOs the tools needed to track and optimize rebate and special pricing agreement (SPA) funds that can often make up all of the profit of a business. Founded and led by experienced operators who previously founded Blue Apron and built products at Meta, Band is supported by venture and angel investors who are founders and executives at leading fintech, supply chain, and enterprise SaaS companies. Band is looking for a motivated, full-stack engineer to work closely with leadership and other engineers on the team. The ideal candidate has a high degree of agency, is motivated by solving customer problems, and has an eye for detail. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy the sense of adventure and opportunity to wear multiple hats that comes with an early stage startup.
Requirements
- At least three years of software engineering experience
- Experience with modern frameworks and languages like React and Python
- Experience working at early-stage companies where you shipped products end-to-end and wore many hats
- High level of accountability, with the creativity and tenacity to truly understand customer pain points and tailor solutions to their business needs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where adaptability and experimentation are key to success
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with leadership and sales to understand requirements and ship thoughtful solutions
- Write high-quality code optimized for extensibility
- Engage in code reviews to maintain a high bar of engineering excellence
- Lead discussions and documentation to communicate and arrive at the best technical design
- Work across different component boundaries, from frontend to backend, and even infrastructure layers
- Promote better practices and share technical knowledge across the team
- Help grow Band through deliberate feedback on product, process, and culture
