About The Position

At Hidden Level, we’re building the future of airspace awareness through cutting-edge RF sensing technology. Our mission is to make the world safer—whether it’s protecting troops, securing infrastructure, or enabling smarter cities. We design, manufacture, and deploy advanced sensor systems that deliver real-time insights for defense and commercial applications. As we expand, we're looking for a Software Engineering Intern who is interested in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM).

Requirements

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented individuals with the capacity to think creatively to overcome technical challenges
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a Bachelor’s Degree program in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a strong programming background
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Experience using and developing on Linux platforms
  • Understanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles
  • Familiarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, HTTP and TLS
  • Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices
  • U.S. citizens can be considered for this position.
  • Employees must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if required for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambdas
  • Proficiency with or willingness to learn C++
  • Experience with or a desire to learn about distributed sensor networks

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of software components across our full stack, leveraging AWS services, Python, Flask, and SQL databases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and implement features
  • Improve on and expand the capabilities of our existing enterprise tools and customer facing-products, ensuring secure seamless communication and data synchronization
  • Participate in collaborative design and code reviews.
  • Document and clearly communicate designs to peers
  • Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation
