Full Stack Software Engineer

Two Six Technologies•Arlington, VA
•$81,000 - $120,000

About The Position

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a stream-aligned feature team. The engineer will own customer-facing product features end-to-end in a unified monorepo, applying deep expertise in one area of the stack alongside working knowledge and curiosity across the other layers. The role involves taking features from initial concept through database schema, API logic, and user interface, collaborating with cross-functional full-stack developers to deliver complete slices of customer value. The role emphasizes small, frequent, stable releases, automated testing, full-context code reviews, reusable shared frameworks, and close collaboration through pairing and team huddles. The engineer will also contribute technical insights to cross-functional architecture guilds. The company provides a self-service Platform Team and the tools and autonomy to build, test, and ship ideas while expanding technical breadth. The listed annual salary range is $81,000–$120,000. Compensation is determined by factors including education, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational or contract requirements. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits, paid leave, tuition assistance, and professional development. Candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to TS/SCI.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of software engineering experience with a recognized anchor specialty, such as frontend development or backend architecture, and working knowledge of the rest of the stack.
  • Comfort modifying relational database schemas, writing API endpoints, and assembling modern component-driven user interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of continuous delivery principles, with an emphasis on shipping value in small, frequent, stable increments.
  • Passion for peer mentoring and pairing, and a preference for team velocity and clear communication over proving a technical point.
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical design, implementation, and deployment of customer-facing features end-to-end.
  • Write code across user interfaces, API endpoints, and database models to deliver complete product features.
  • Use AI tools to enhance workflow and support decision-making.
  • Review teammates’ full-stack pull requests, considering feature context, readability, and maintainability.
  • Write automated unit and integration tests alongside feature code.
  • Identify common patterns and contribute reusable components or helpers to the shared development platform.
  • Participate in daily team huddles, pair-programming, and collaborative problem-solving to advance team objectives and clear blockers.
  • Represent team technical insights in cross-functional architecture guilds and help guide company-wide technical patterns.
