About The Position

We are seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities to join our AI Platform squad. This is a high-impact role within a small team focused on building the AI layer of the gaiia platform. The ideal candidate will have strong opinions on AI system development, be eager to challenge existing thinking, propose innovative solutions, and stay current with advancements in the rapidly evolving AI field. The role primarily focuses on the AI Agent Builder, a customer-facing module enabling Communication Service Providers to design, deploy, and manage AI agents via a low-code interface built on our Workflow Engine. This represents an evolution towards AI-first operations. Additionally, the role involves developing Internal AI Platform Tooling, including reusable components and abstractions to standardize AI feature development (chat assistants, LLM integrations, prompt management) across all gaiia squads.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI Agents design.
Experience integrating models into products, building agentic workflows, or shipping AI-powered features.
Proven experience building with Coding Agents (Claude Code, Codex, etc.).
Actively explore AI tools, frameworks, and patterns (e.g., building side projects, contributing to open-source AI tooling, experimenting with new models and techniques).
At least five (5) years of experience in Typescript.
Experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with the React library.
Experience with Node.js.
A natural drive to turn ambitious ideas into reality.
Team player with impeccable work ethic.

Responsibilities

Design and build the AI Agent Builder, a low-code tool for creating, testing, and deploying AI agents, with a focus on performance, observability, user experience, and security.
Integrate LLM inference and agentic capabilities into gaiia's existing Workflow Engine (LLM nodes, tool-use, MCP servers).
Build reusable AI components (chat interfaces, prompt management, evaluation tooling) for use by other squads across the platform.
Evaluate and integrate new model capabilities, tool-use patterns, and orchestration frameworks as the AI space evolves.
Contribute to architectural decisions regarding prompt design, evaluation, guardrails, and observability for production AI systems.
Design, develop, and deploy GraphQL APIs for both internal and external use.
Develop intuitive interfaces for non-technical users to build and manage their own AI agents, in collaboration with designers.
