About The Position

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer who enjoys solving complex business challenges, building modern applications, and working across a variety of technologies and projects. This contract opportunity offers exposure to greenfield development, application modernization, API development, enterprise integrations, and support initiatives within a collaborative Agile environment.

Requirements

  • Mid-to-senior level software development experience.
  • 5-8+ years of development and support experience with web-based applications utilizing: ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap
  • 5-8+ years of experience performing both front-end and back-end development of web applications and web APIs.
  • 5-8+ years of experience with ASP.NET and SSRS reporting solutions.
  • 5-8+ years of experience with SQL Server, relational databases, query optimization, and stored procedure development.
  • Experience developing and supporting web services and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience using Entity Framework or other ORM technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex code and data environments.
  • Experience working within Agile and Scrum development environments.
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices and modern DevSecOps principles.
  • Experience implementing security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of GitHub Advanced Security or similar application security tools.
  • Understanding of NIST 800-218 Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF), ISO 27034, or similar secure development standards.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability remediation efforts, security initiatives, compliance requirements, and cybersecurity incident response.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and participate in pair programming activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Kendo UI Controls.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with: Azure DevOps, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery and code quality.
  • Experience with React, Flutter, CSS, MVC, CA Autosys, or enterprise design systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications utilizing modern Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Participate in greenfield development projects spanning Azure cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, web services, user interfaces, and backend processing applications.
  • Collaborate with business partners, developers, architects, and product teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Perform full-stack development activities across presentation, business logic, integration, and database layers.
  • Write clean, testable code using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, and data issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Support application modernization, lifecycle management, enhancement, and maintenance initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to reduce recurring support efforts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team productivity and application reliability.

Benefits

  • The base range for this contract position is $50.00 - $75.00 per hour, depending on experience.
