About The Position

Futrend Technology, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Engineer / JavaScript Developer to support a high-visibility federal client. The role involves contributing throughout the software development lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment, supporting system enhancements, application development, data integration, and modernization efforts. The ideal candidate is an independent, versatile technologist who can solve problems across complex codebases, communicate effectively, collaborate with teammates, and continue expanding their technical expertise.

Requirements

At least five years of application or systems development experience.
Strong understanding of procedural and object-oriented programming and common design patterns.
Demonstrated ability to work within large, complex codebases across the full technology stack.
Ability to complete assignments independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate actively with a team.
Self-motivated commitment to continuous learning and keeping current with emerging technologies.
Experience with semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, DOM, Model/View/Controller or similar, REST, JSON, NodeJS, ExpressJS, and NPM.
Extensive experience with the Angular framework.
Familiarity with functional and event-driven programming concepts, including callbacks, promises/futures, streaming, and reactive programming.
Experience coding algorithms to process complex data structures, such as multilevel combinations of objects, lists, and hash tables.
Experience with SQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB databases, and handling data through pipelines, ETL processes, and various file formats.
Extensive Git source control experience, including advanced operations such as rebasing and squashing.

Nice To Haves

Ability to work with Linux environments and shell programming.
Working knowledge of Python and pip, and experience with numerical and data science libraries including Keras and NumPy to support machine learning implementation.
Knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud platforms, including cloud-agnostic architectures and services.
Knowledge of Medical Subject Headings or other medical terminologies.
