About The Position

Dev Technology is seeking a passionate Software Developer to join their dynamic team. The role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical applications that support government initiatives. The developer will use methodologies like Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban, and DevSecOps, and collaborate with users to define system scope and objectives, contributing to key design decisions. This position offers the opportunity to make a real impact and support vital government missions.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Java and/or C++ programming languages
  • Experience with GoLang and Java programming languages
  • DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Maven
  • Java Web Services / Spring Boot / Java EE
  • Web Development / UI Frameworks / HTML / JavaScript
  • Experience in Agile development methodology
  • Spanish language proficiency (bilingual English/Spanish)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing and configuring DevOps solutions

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical applications using Java, C++, and Go.
  • Provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements into working solutions.
  • Engage with users to define system scope and objectives.
  • Contribute to key design decisions for mission-critical systems.
  • Work on new development and re-engineering efforts.
  • Implement enhancements to existing systems.
  • Coordinate with other developers working in parallel.
  • Perform QA/testing as needed.
  • Provide software development services on all tiers (UI, Java, Oracle).
  • Perform database programming using SQL.
  • Utilize experience with test-driven development.
  • Apply a Scrum/agile project lifecycle approach to software development.
  • Travel approximately 3 times per year to Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica to help set up a biometric system with the local government.
