About The Position

Dev Technology is seeking a passionate Software Developer to join their dynamic team. The role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical applications that support government initiatives. The developer will be instrumental in transforming requirements into innovative solutions using methodologies like Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Kanban, and DevSecOps. This position requires close collaboration with users to define system scope and objectives, and to contribute to key design decisions for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate is excited about making a real impact and supporting vital government missions.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Java and/or C++ programming languages
  • Experience with GoLang and Java programming languages
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Maven
  • Experience with Java Web Services / Spring Boot / Java EE
  • Experience with Web Development / UI Frameworks / HTML / JavaScript
  • Experience in Agile development methodology
  • Spanish language proficiency (bilingual English/Spanish)

  • Experience implementing and configuring DevOps solutions

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical applications using Java, C++, and Go.
  • Provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements into working solutions.
  • Engage with users to define system scope and objectives.
  • Contribute to design decisions for mission-critical systems.
  • Work on new development and re-engineering efforts, including making system design decisions.
  • Implement enhancements to existing systems.
  • Coordinate with other developers working in parallel.
  • Perform QA/testing as needed.
  • Provide software development services on all tiers (UI, Java, Oracle).
  • Perform database programming using SQL.
  • Utilize test-driven development practices.
  • Follow a Scrum/agile project lifecycle approach to software development.
  • Travel approximately 3 times per year to Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica to work with local government to help set up a biometric system.
