This is a full-stack Java developer position with desired exposure to front-end development. The position will support the Michigan Department of Transportation's (MDOT) Project Development and Maintenance programs. As a developer, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with the project manager, application owner, and resource manager, and working on an agile development team to organize work, develop, test, and deploy code. This position performs a variety of complicated tasks and may report directly to a project lead or manager. This position must have excellent communication and teamwork skills, be self-directed, committed, and a quick learner. In addition to full-stack development, this position will also work with UI/UX team members in building user interfaces and responsive applications. The candidate will join a collaborative Agile team consisting of 7 members. Responsibilities include working closely with technical teams to modernize and enhance legacy systems, supporting the transition of existing applications into updated, scalable solutions, contributing to technology upgrades, ensuring systems align with current standards, and participating in new application development, including adding features and improving functionality.
