About The Position

SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Full-stack Java Developer (Senior) to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA. This role involves designing and implementing Micro Service Architecture JEE software applications using modern software engineering tools and presenting solutions at design reviews. The developer will also document the design according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field with 9+ years of technical experience
Provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS (or equivalent cloud providers)
Solid experience with backend systems using Spring Boot Java Frameworks
UI development skills, specifically with Angular
Database operations (Oracle and Postgres)
Hibernate
JMS
XML, JSON
SQL, JDBC
Unix, Linux
Kubernetes
Experience with object-oriented analysis and design techniques
Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security etc.)
Experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution
React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
High level of self-motivation, desire to deliver stellar solutions and willingness to work in a distributed team environment
Ability to lead and mentor junior level developers
Openness to working on all layers of the application
Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

Master’s in Computer Science or related field
Familiar with OAuth
Developing 100% automating unit tests using SOAP-UI, Selenium, or equivalent tools
Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (Git and Gradle/Maven)
Load Balancing and Enterprise Service Bus frameworks (preferably under Cloud environment)
Agile Scrum and possibly experience with leading a Scrum team as a scrum master or equivalent
