Full Stack Engineer (Python)
About The Position
SeekWell, the parent company of 1-800 Contacts, Luna, and The Framery, is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to help develop, enhance, and maintain mobile and web products that make vision care more accessible. The role is with the team under The Framery and focuses on building consumer-facing APIs, services, web components, and websites. The engineer will implement software based on project requirements, technical designs, and best practices; contribute to design reviews and software architecture decisions; collaborate with iOS and machine learning engineers; and help determine the scope and direction of new initiatives. The team uses an agile development methodology and works with Engineering Managers and Product Owners to prioritize work. This is a hybrid role: work from home with one day per week onsite in Draper, Utah.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend experience with Python.
- At least 2 years of frontend experience with Vue or equivalent frontend libraries such as React or Angular.
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or an equivalent web framework.
- Experience creating JavaScript components that are shareable across multiple websites.
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with AWS, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Ability to communicate technical requirements verbally and in writing.

- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative consumer-facing APIs and services.
- Create and maintain consumer-facing web components and websites.
- Collaborate with iOS engineers so they can leverage the APIs you own.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers to leverage the models they produce.
- Monitor production application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Write and maintain automated tests for new and existing code.
- Contribute to software architecture decisions.
- Work with Engineering Managers and Product Owners to prioritize work within an agile development methodology.
- Contribute to design reviews and help define the scope and direction of new initiatives.
