Full-Stack Engineer, Internal Apps & AI

Falcon Wealth Planning, Inc.•Ontario, CA
•$115,000 - $130,000

About The Position

Build and ship internal applications and automations for a regulated firm, using AI coding tools to move from short specs or wireframes to secure, tested production software. The role will take existing prototypes into maintainable applications and develop new tools, including a Falcon data warehouse that combines custodian, CRM, planning, and document data. Applications must include company sign-in, access control, logging, tests, and rollback capabilities. The position also covers data architecture and integration: designing the warehouse, mapping information across systems, building pipelines, consolidating platforms, and keeping Salesforce data clean and synchronized. Security, compliance, and reliability are central, including protection of client data, auditability, monitoring, and support for SEC books-and-records and Regulation S-P expectations. Approximately 80% of the role focuses on application development and related data work; approximately 20% involves IT systems support.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years building and shipping full-stack web applications using TypeScript or JavaScript, React or Next.js, and Node or Python.
  • Daily, hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Replit Agent, with judgment about when to trust or rewrite generated output.
  • Strong SQL and data-modeling skills in Postgres or a cloud data warehouse, including data pipelines and mapping data between systems.
  • Experience consolidating systems or migrating data between platforms, including de-duplicating and reconciling records.
  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and SSO (OIDC or SAML).
  • Experience shipping features on LLM APIs, including prompts, structured output, evaluation, and cost control.
  • Security practices including secret management, access control, input validation, and safe handling of personal data.
  • Experience with Git, code review, automated tests, and repeatable deployments.
  • Clear written communication, including short specifications, change notes, and plain-English updates for non-technical staff.
  • Ability to pass a background check, as required for financial services employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or a similar cloud warehouse, and transformation tools such as dbt.
  • Google Cloud (GCP) or AWS experience, including app hosting, managed databases, storage, identity and access, and cloud cost management.
  • Experience with wealth management data feeds or platforms such as BridgeFT, Milemarker, or Addepar.
  • Salesforce development or administration experience, including Apex, Flows, REST and Metadata APIs, especially Financial Services Cloud.
  • Zoom API experience with Phone, Contact Center, or Team Chat apps.
  • Google Workspace API experience with Gmail, Drive, or Calendar.
  • Experience at an RIA, broker-dealer, or other SEC-regulated firm.
  • Experience building AI agents with human approval steps or retrieval over company documents.
  • Okta administration and Okta Workflows experience.
  • Familiarity with custodian platforms such as Fidelity, Schwab, TradePMR, and Interactive Brokers (IBKR).

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship full-stack web apps and automations with AI coding tools, from short specifications or wireframes through production.
  • Own and improve internal applications, including help desk, partner management, forms, account-opening workflows, advisor planning tools, and sales-call dashboards.
  • Develop a CRM platform connected to the data warehouse so teams can work from a unified client view.
  • Build custom applications at management’s direction, from requirements through development, release, and support.
  • Test and QA releases using automated tests, user acceptance testing, and regression checks.
  • Turn prototypes into maintainable software with clean data models, tests, code review, version control, and documented deployments.
  • Build AI features using LLM APIs for document and transcript extraction, scoring, drafting, and agents that propose changes for human approval.
  • Design and build Falcon’s data warehouse as a source of truth for custodian, Salesforce, eMoney, Zoom, and document data.
  • Map data across systems, including field mappings, household and account matching, and shared definitions for consistent reporting.
  • Build and operate data pipelines from custodian feeds and APIs, with checks for bad, late, or missing data.
  • Consolidate systems by retiring overlapping tools, migrating their data, and merging duplicate records.
  • Integrate with Salesforce, Zoom, Google Workspace, and custodian platforms including Fidelity, Schwab, TradePMR, and Interactive Brokers.
  • Keep Salesforce data clean and synchronized across applications.
  • Secure applications with Google or Okta SSO and role-based access.
  • Protect client data through encryption, redaction before data reaches AI services, least-privilege API keys, and secret management.
  • Implement audit logs, approval steps, and rollback for applications that change production systems.
  • Monitor uptime, errors, and AI usage costs, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support identity and access in Okta and Google Workspace, including automated onboarding and offboarding with Okta groups and Workflows.
  • Provide backup support for Zoom, network, and endpoint issues when needed.

  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Generous paid time off and paid firm holidays.
  • Support for continuing education, licensing, and industry conferences.
