The Mission Control team builds a tailored suite of command-and-control (C2) interfaces that enable defense customers—including warfighters, program managers, and test engineers—to test, understand, and operate Applied Intuition’s autonomy stack in simulation and in the field. The interfaces support multi-agent workflows for mission planning, monitoring, and debrief. This role is part of a “startup within a startup,” with day-long iteration cycles focused on delivering autonomy tooling to the defense industry. The engineer will build a highly configurable, stable, and intuitive frontend platform. The work includes data-oriented design for interaction with live and simulated data; principled architecture with clear roles and responsibilities and strong test fixtures; and frontend UI/UX, including 2D/3D rendering and selection tools for defense applications such as mission planning and debrief, command and control, and simulation tools. The position works closely with the Design team to understand user workflows and develop a vision for Defense Tooling UI/UX. It also collaborates with other teams to integrate the frontend with an in-house simulator, data-transmission pipeline, autonomous systems, and other defense applications. The company expects full-time employees to primarily work from an Applied Intuition office five days a week, with occasional flexibility for remote work.
