About The Position

SAP Fioneer is a global company focused on bringing financial services to the next level with innovative software solutions and platforms. They help companies in the financial services industry achieve speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency through digital business innovation, cloud technology, and end-to-end solutions for banking and insurance processes. This role is within a mature cloud-native team working on challenging, business-relevant projects, including GenAI and agentic systems, with a focus on flexibility, open communication, work-life balance, and shared learning.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.
  • Very good knowledge of Spring Boot and Kotlin, building production-grade services and RESTful APIs.
  • Experienced with PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, query optimization, and performance.
  • Very good experience with TypeScript, React, and Redux, building complex and maintainable UIs.
  • Practical experience with micro frontends and module federation.
  • Use and understand AI coding agents, like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, while owning code quality.
  • Solution-oriented person with a structured working mode.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of UI5 Web Components and experience with a component-based design system (e.g., SAP Fiori).
  • Experience running services in the cloud, ideally Azure, on Kubernetes (AKS) with Helm.
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Experience with a service mesh (Istio) or Kubernetes-based platforms such as Kyma.
  • Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs / GenAI into applications — e.g. Spring AI, Azure OpenAI, or building agentic flows and MCP servers.
  • Strong interest in modern technologies and tools and enjoy pushing the platform forward.

Responsibilities

  • Own features end to end and actively shape the platform.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and work within a design system.
  • Treat testing as a regular part of the work, including unit, component, and e2e testing.
  • Actively use linters and formatters and write clean code readable to both developers and machines.
  • Understand CI/CD and own changes through the pipeline to production.
  • Integrate LLMs / GenAI into applications, build agentic flows and MCP servers.
