About The Position

Cascadience, a VIABILITY Company, is developing Volio, an AI-powered digital companion intended to support neurodivergent people, including people with ADHD, Autism, and Anxiety. Volio is evolving into a student companion combining AI support, intelligent scheduling, long-term memory, and gamified experiences to reduce cognitive overload and support independence. The Full Stack Engineer will build and scale Volio’s technology and collaborate with product, operations, marketing, and external partners. The role contributes across backend and mobile development, AI workflows and memory, cloud infrastructure, data, deployment, and application monitoring. The position is remote in the EST time zone, full-time and salaried exempt, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience building production applications, APIs, or mobile applications.
Strong experience with Python; FastAPI experience preferred.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
Genuine interest in accessibility, inclusion, and technology that improves people's lives.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Master's degree.
Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, Amazon Bedrock, or OpenAI.
Experience with React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin.
Experience with RAG, vector databases, or AI/LLM applications.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the Python/FastAPI backend running on AWS ECS Fargate.
Develop and improve AI-powered multi-agent workflows using Amazon Bedrock and LangGraph.
Build and optimize RAG pipelines and long-term semantic memory.
Develop mobile features using React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android technologies.
Create lightweight 2D gamification and student progression features.
Integrate GPS/geolocation functionality for school- and class-related experiences.
Design and maintain data models across PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB Atlas.
Contribute to AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and secure cloud architecture.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Support mobile releases through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play.
Monitor application performance using tools such as New Relic, OpenTelemetry, and AWS X-Ray.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into accessible, reliable products.
