About The Position
As a senior software engineer in Core Internet Platforms, you will design, build, and operate scalable backend systems and cloud-native services. The role focuses on building and maintaining secure authentication and authorization systems that protect user identities, access, and sensitive data. It requires strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on experience with Go (preferred), and expertise in cloud deployments. You will develop and maintain scalable, reliable backend services and own them through design, development, testing, deployment, and operations. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to turn requirements into technical solutions, help improve engineering processes and CI/CD pipelines, and solve complex engineering challenges.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of programming experience in Java, Node.js, Go, or a comparable technology building high-throughput APIs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices to increase delivery velocity.
- Operational foundation in Docker and Kubernetes and their tools.
- Experience with cloud providers and platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience using AI developer tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Envoy proxy configuration, service meshes, or routing and load-balancing systems.
- Familiarity with observability tools for logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance.
- Experience designing systems for high availability and fault tolerance.
- Prior experience leading medium-to-large technical initiatives.
- Experience with additional programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, reliable backend services using Go; additional experience with Java, C++, or Python is a plus.
- Own services throughout their lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze and solve sophisticated engineering challenges.
- Build and maintain secure authentication and authorization systems that protect user identities, access, and sensitive data.
