About The Position

CGI is seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in Angular and JavaScript to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting modern, scalable web applications and will be comfortable working across both front-end and back-end components. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing existing production web applications — including troubleshooting, defect resolution, and incremental feature development — as part of a dedicated production support and small enhancement team. Experience with Python is a plus, and prior experience working with Microsoft Azure is preferred. This work can be performed near one of our CGI offices - Plymouth, Meeting, New Brunswick, NJ, Lafayette, LA, Cary, NC, New York, NY and Hartford, CT.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of modern front-end development concepts, component-based architecture, and responsive application design.
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience with backend application development and integration.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle practices and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with source control tools such as Git.
  • Experience with automated testing, debugging, and application performance optimization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure application and cloud services.
  • Experience with cloud native application development, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on development experience with Python.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD and work management platforms.
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack web applications.
  • Build responsive and reusable front-end components using Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, QA, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in application design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Follow software engineering best practices, including clean coding standards, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis and corrective solutions.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment and actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
