About The Position

Greystone is seeking a motivated Full Stack Engineer Intern to assist with developing several web applications. The intern will work on front-end and back-end tasks and gain exposure to the full product lifecycle through Agile Scrum. The internship provides hands-on experience building modern web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to new projects in a collaborative environment that values fresh ideas and personal ownership.

The intern will help develop applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, Python, React, and JavaScript; work with Microsoft SQL Server; use AI-assisted development tools; and explore ways to incorporate AI and automation into applications and business workflows. The role also involves integrating applications across Microsoft technologies, collaborating with developers and business stakeholders, and contributing to code quality, testing, and application improvements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of software development concepts, object-oriented programming, and web application development.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, ask questions, and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, React, or similar programming languages and frameworks.
• Interest in AI technologies, including generative AI, AI-assisted coding tools, and their practical application in software development.
• Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL queries, and data structures.
• Basic knowledge of Git or other version control tools.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and frontend/backend application architecture.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Python, or automation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core, Python, React, and JavaScript.
• Write SQL queries and stored procedures, and assist with database development and data analysis using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT/Codex for coding, debugging, testing, and problem-solving.
• Explore opportunities to incorporate AI and automation into applications and business workflows.
• Assist with integrating applications across Microsoft technologies, including Azure and other enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Write maintainable code and participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Contribute ideas to improve application performance, user experience, and development processes.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle through Agile Scrum, including understanding requirements, sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
