About The Position

Capital One Shopping’s Categories team is a high-growth, entrepreneurial hub focused on launching new products and building thematic spending experiences in areas such as travel, groceries, streaming, event tickets, and mobile gaming. The Full-stack Engineer will partner closely with Digital Product Managers to shape technical strategy and turn consumer needs into high-performing features. The role owns new greenfield product spaces from inception through deployment. The engineer contributes to architectural design, code evaluations, and implementation, while mentoring members of the engineering community and exploring new technologies. The role uses languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Python, and Go, as well as open-source relational databases, distributed NoSQL databases, container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and AWS cloud-native tools. The position is remote-eligible. The full-time annual salary range is $209,000–$238,500 for remote work regardless of location, or $229,900–$262,400 in McLean, Virginia. The role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
