About The Position

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Engineer to help drive a major technology transformation by building cloud-based solutions and scalable systems. The role is part of the Servicing, Business, and International team in Card Tech+, which builds technology for customer experiences and business partners. The team develops fraud-detection and investigation experiences for agents and customers, including capabilities for addressing account takeovers, transaction fraud, and first-party fraud. It is transforming rigid interfaces into a dynamic, configuration-driven intelligent workflow engine. The team uses Vue.js, Node.js (Fastify), Python, and AWS services including Fargate and Lambda. The engineer will lead technology projects and developers, provide technical direction across Agile teams, establish standards for design and operational excellence, and partner with architects on service boundaries, integrations, and reusable frameworks. The role also involves hands-on software development across cloud platforms and full-stack systems, improving performance and reducing technical debt, mentoring engineers, and influencing technology strategy in a you-build-it, you-own-it environment. This is a hybrid position requiring adherence to Capital One's on-site policy at the designated office location.
