About The Position

IPT Associates (IPTA) is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to develop and maintain software solutions for government customers. The role focuses on designing scalable, maintainable, reliable technical solutions using nonproprietary, open-standard code. The developer will work in a government-owned Git-based repository, participate in peer code reviews, and ensure code meets automated quality and security standards. The role also includes addressing prioritized technical debt and exploring and mentoring teammates on emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Eight years of prior experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Angular and Spring Boot.
• Experience testing with Jest and JUnit.
• DoD 8570 Level II/III certification.
• Active security clearance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions that are scalable, maintainable, reliable, and built on nonproprietary, open-standard code.
• Create and maintain a Detailed Software Development Modernization Plan (SDMP) covering branching strategy, code review processes, and CI/CD integration.
• Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and secure source code in the government-owned Git-based repository.
• Participate in mandatory peer code reviews.
• Ensure developed code passes automated quality and security scans, including SAST, and remediate new Blocker, Critical, or High findings before task completion.
• Identify, report, analyze, and remediate technical debt as prioritized and assigned by the government.
• Research and prototype emerging technologies, including AI/ML, low-code/no-code platforms, automation, and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Mentor team members in the use of emerging technologies.
