Full Stack Developer

Teserac, Inc.•Santa Clara, CA
•Hybrid

About The Position

Teserac is building Neuron™, an AI-native observability and automation platform that helps data center power-infrastructure teams monitor operations, detect anomalies, correlate events, and determine next steps. The Full Stack Developer owns features end to end, from telemetry ingestion at live facilities and time-series storage through operator-facing dashboards. The role is part of a small team with production customers, where code ships quickly and operates in facilities where errors can have physical consequences. The developer works directly with the Principal Software & Architecture Lead, Product, and Solution Engineering, and is expected to own outcomes. This hybrid role is based in the Santa Clara office. Visa sponsorship is available. The work spans React and TypeScript product development, telemetry ingestion and industrial-system integrations, PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB platform development, and quality and production operations. The role includes sharing on-call as the platform scales.

Requirements

  • 7+ years building and shipping production software across the stack.
  • Strong Python skills; Django is preferred, and the backend uses Django and Celery.
  • Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query performance, and production database migrations.
  • Practical time-series experience; TimescaleDB is ideal, and deep experience with another time-series or high-volume streaming store is transferable.
  • Solid React and TypeScript skills, with sound judgment for keeping data-heavy interfaces fast.
  • Experience with asynchronous and event-driven systems, such as task queues, pub/sub, streaming, or WebSockets.
  • Comfort working with AWS; the platform uses ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, and IoT Core.
  • Ability to work independently, define scope from rough requirements, and ship.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial or IoT telemetry experience, such as BMS, EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, or similar OT data sources.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP, or vendor BMS APIs.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure, including power distribution topology, UPS and PDU behavior, or PUE.
  • Experience building observability or monitoring products, commercial or internal.
  • Early-stage startup experience from Seed through Series B.

Responsibilities

  • Build operator-facing Neuron™ features in React and TypeScript, including real-time dashboards, alerting, alarm and ticket workflows, capacity-planning views, and power-flow visualizations.
  • Build interfaces for the AI teammate, including interaction panels, recommendation displays, approval workflows, and audit trails.
  • Keep large, data-dense views fast and responsive across devices.
  • Build and maintain telemetry ingestion from customer sites, including edge collectors, MQTT over AWS IoT Core, queue-based workers, and normalization into a canonical metric model.
  • Develop integration modules for building and power systems, including Siemens Desigo, Schneider PME and EcoStruxure, Niagara, Eaton, and generic BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP sources.
  • Ensure telemetry correctness, including point mapping, unit and phase semantics, deduplication, and backfill.
  • Develop the time-series platform using PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB features such as hypertables, continuous aggregates, compression, and retention.
  • Design schemas and migrations that remain safe as tables grow into billions of rows.
  • Find and fix performance issues that emerge with real customer data volumes.
  • Write tested, reviewed code and contribute to CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across the stack and share on-call as the platform scales.
  • Own features and outcomes, defining scope from rough requirements and shipping independently.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision health care plan
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and public holidays
  • Free food and snacks
  • Stock option plan
