About The Position

Adyen is seeking a junior Full-Stack Developer to join its Documentation team in Chicago. The Docs Experience Engineering Team focuses on improving the Adyen developer experience through documentation-site updates, workflow improvements, and experimentation. The role includes implementing front-end UI updates, addressing technical debt, supporting Grav CMS integrations, and exploring data- and AI-based ways to improve user and agent experiences and documentation speed. The team follows the Adyen Formula by launching quickly and iterating based on real-world feedback. This role is based in Adyen’s Chicago office. Adyen is an office-first company and expects employees to work in the office at least three days per week on average. The annual base salary range is $120,000–$135,000, with a total compensation package that includes equity (RSUs), 401(k), health, dental, vision, and other benefits. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new visa sponsorship; Adyen can support visa transfers but does not sponsor H-1B CAP applications.

Requirements

A four-year Computer Science degree.
A solid foundational understanding of full-stack web development, including modern JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and server-side/web technologies.
Ability to use AI tools to accelerate work while validating AI outputs, identifying algorithmic mistakes, and maintaining clean code.
Authorization to work in the United States without requiring new visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Improve the Adyen Docs site, align it with corporate branding, and build interactive developer-focused elements.
Streamline docs-as-code workflows and assist with Grav CMS integrations to reduce technical overhead.
Explore data and AI approaches to enhance user and agent experiences and improve documentation speed.
Launch quickly and iterate based on real-world feedback, following the Adyen Formula.
