About The Position

Syms Strategic Group is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to serve as the Edifecs Platform Manager for the Veterans Affairs department. This remote, full-time, W-2 position leads the Edifecs application support organization and is responsible for the platform’s operational stability, scalability, compliance, and strategic alignment. The role provides technical oversight, manages staffing, drives roadmap execution, and partners with product, architecture, vendor, and business teams on architecture decisions, modernization, cloud scalability, and performance strategies. The position configures and maintains Edifecs XEServer, XEngine, Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs), SpecBuilder, and related modules. It guides EDI Analysts in building, deploying, and optimizing processing rules, routing logic, and batch workflows; troubleshoots mapping and validation issues, functional errors, and performance bottlenecks; and manages logging, JVM tuning, and certificate/keystore configurations. The opportunity requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI). It is a 100% U.S.-based remote position; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered. Applicants selected may undergo a government security investigation and other background checks.
