About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications in the utility and energy domain. The role involves building scalable web applications, REST APIs, cloud-native solutions, and enterprise system integrations. Experience with electric and gas utility platforms, energy management systems, meter data management, outage management, asset management, or enterprise data management is desirable. The developer will collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, data engineers, and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performing solutions for utility operations and business processes. This is a remote position.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
7–10 years of professional software development experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on full stack application development experience.
Experience designing and delivering enterprise applications.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed Agile team.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with utility clients in North America.
Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and utility regulatory environments.
Experience with Azure-based enterprise integration architectures.
Familiarity with real-time utility data processing and event-driven systems.
Experience developing applications that support operational reporting and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React.js, Angular, or similar frameworks.
Develop backend services, business logic, and RESTful APIs.
Implement reusable components, application frameworks, and microservices; optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Develop backend applications using Java/Spring Boot, .NET Core, or Node.js.
Design and implement REST APIs and enterprise application integrations, including authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
Integrate applications with databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems; work with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing.
Develop applications supporting electric and gas utility business functions and integrate with utility enterprise platforms such as AMI, MDMS, OMS, DMS, EMS, EDM, and CIS.
Work with utility data related to smart meters, electricity consumption, outages, grid operations, and energy reporting; support integration with SAP IS-U, Oracle Utilities, and other utility applications where applicable.
Develop and deploy applications on Microsoft Azure or AWS, using services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, and cloud storage.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; use Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment; implement monitoring, logging, and observability.
Design and optimize relational databases using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle; develop SQL queries and stored procedures and integrate databases.
Integrate with enterprise data platforms and data pipelines; work with JSON, XML, and other structured data formats; ensure data quality, security, and integrity.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement, and technical discussions.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Solution Architects, and QA engineers; translate business requirements into technical designs and development tasks.
Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and production support; maintain technical documentation and development standards.
Deliver frontend and backend components, REST API and enterprise integrations, database design and optimization, testing, documentation, deployments, application support, and Agile sprint work.
