About The Position

The School of Business at American International University (AIU), Kuwait, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Finance at the rank of Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching Finance and at least one additional tangential Business-related sub-discipline (e.g., Accounting, Business Analytics), maintain an active research and/or creative practice profile, and engage with contemporary technologies and methodologies. The appointee will contribute to undergraduate education, curriculum development, student mentorship, and institutional service within a collaborative and multicultural academic environment. AIU, founded in 2019, is a private, co-educational university modeled on the American higher education system, offering undergraduate programs in Engineering, Architecture and Design, Business Administration, and a robust Foundation Program. English is the language of instruction.

Requirements

PhD in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics or similar
Minimum of five years of university-level teaching experience (for Associate & Full Professor ranks), with demonstrated teaching excellence
Strong evidencing professional and/or research-based work in the area of the professional expertise
Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g. Bloomberg)
Evidence of peer-reviewed publications, and/or recognized professional practice
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Experience working effectively in multicultural academic environments

Nice To Haves

Expertise in AI implementation
Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g., AACSB or equivalent)
Professional industry experience and active engagement
Experience supervising senior thesis or multimedia capstone projects
Record of collaborative and/or externally funded research

Responsibilities

Deliver innovative undergraduate courses in Finance and at least one additional tangential Business-related sub-discipline (e.g. Accounting, Business Analytics)
Integrate emerging technologies such as AI-assisted design tools, and interactive platforms into the curriculum
Develop and update course content to reflect industry standards and accreditation requirements
Supervise senior projects and guide students
Maintain rigorous assessment standards
Maintain an active research agenda in Finance and/or additional tangential Business-related sub-discipline
Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences
Engage in interdisciplinary projects and pursue external funding where applicable
Contribute to strengthening the School’s academic and professional profile
Engage actively in departmental, school, and university committees
Support program assessment, accreditation documentation, and quality assurance activities
Participate in student recruitment, outreach initiatives, and/or community engagement
Offer academic advising and mentorship to students
Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the academic community
