About The Position

GDIT is hiring a C4ISR FMV Technician/Journeyman (FMV FSR) to implement, deploy, document, administer, and sustain C4ISR systems and architectural solutions. The role bridges Service ISR CONOPs and CENTCOM CONEMPs and manages COMSEC short titles and FDO-generated caveats that control access to FMV from CENTCOM-allocated ISR platforms. The technician manages CENTCOM's FMV dissemination architecture across SIPR, SIPR REL, and CPN Bi-Lat networks, including transition from legacy CPN Bi-Lat net-centric architecture to CPE data-centric architecture. The role deploys and documents FMV cross-domain solutions for coalition FMV ingest and sharing U.S. FMV with mission partners, supports coalition collection operations and battlespace transits, and sustains deployed video dissemination devices in the AOR to maintain the FMV common operational picture. The position also implements, documents, and deploys ISR command-and-control solutions using line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight communications for U.S. and mission-partner platforms. It liaises with JOC, JCCC, CCJ2 C4ISR, components, joint task forces, and other organizations to support command AISR requirements, while staying current with emerging technologies. The role is onsite at MacDill AFB, Florida, requires a current TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship, and involves less than 10% travel according to the job description's travel section (the posting's summary also lists 10–25%).

Requirements

  • At least three years of related experience, including at least two years of specialized experience operating, maintaining, and monitoring communications network/system infrastructure.

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide clear written documentation on network diagrams.
  • Intermediate technical knowledge of all phases of network/systems operations.

  • Experience deploying and administering Dell PowerEdge Linux-based (RHEL) servers.
  • Experience engineering and deploying C4ISR solutions for joint task forces in austere or communications-disadvantaged areas.
  • Familiarity with commercial and military satellite communications and their application to ISR platforms, sensor command and control, and sensor downlink requirements.
  • Experience engineering, accrediting, and deploying FMV cross-domain and dissemination hardware and software.
  • CCNA certification or equivalent demonstrated networking, routing, switching, and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Applied Science (Information Technology).
  • Prior military service or intelligence community experience, particularly in GEOINT, IMINT, ISR, or special operations environments.
  • Five or more years of FMV infrastructure administration and/or engineering experience.
  • Ability to interact effectively with staff from other sections and vendors on complex FMV issues.

  • Develop and manage the FMV dissemination solution for the transition from legacy CPN Bi-Lat net-centric architecture to CPE data-centric architecture.
  • Install, deploy, and document FMV cross-domain solutions for coalition FMV ingest and U.S. FMV sharing with mission partners.
  • Support coalition combined collection operations, CONOPS, and battlespace transits by disseminating allocated ISR-derived FMV.
  • Maintain deployed video dissemination devices in the AOR that support continuous FMV COP.
  • Liaise with JOC, JCCC, CCJ2 C4ISR, components, joint task forces, and other AOR-affiliated organizations to support command AISR requirements.
