About The Position

The YMCA of Middle TN is hiring a Full Circle Swim Instructor at YMCA at Green Hills. The instructor teaches swim lessons in the water using creative, organized lesson plans, and creates safe, fun, engaging experiences that help participants develop confidence and swimming skills. The role includes providing individualized feedback and encouragement, communicating swimmers’ progress to parents, building welcoming relationships with participants and families, following pool and YMCA safety policies, maintaining equipment, completing documentation, and taking part in team training sessions. The position is part-time, with pay starting at $14 per hour or more depending on experience.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be able to swim at an intermediate level.
• Have strong communication skills and a passion for helping others.
• Be flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Obtain CPR Pro/AED/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Complete Angel Fish Training within 2 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow pool and YMCA policies to prioritize participant safety.
