About The Position

Assist the Director of Finance/Controller with all accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll support, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality within a home health care environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or payroll experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel

  • Healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer full accounts payable cycle including invoice review, coding, data entry, payment processing, and file maintenance
  • Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors
  • Prepare and issue special request checks
  • Perform stop payments and reissue checks
  • Assist in payroll processing and data entry
  • Support weekly payroll activities including reimbursements
  • Process garnishments and reconcile accounts
  • Track timesheets and productivity
  • Monitor and research outstanding accounts
  • Assist with re-billing and discrepancy resolution
  • Perform CHHA electronic postings in billing systems
  • Assist with general ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare financial analysis and spreadsheets
  • Assist with tax reporting and filings
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Maintain financial records
  • Maintain financial files and documentation
  • Provide customer service to staff
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance
  • Participate in QAPI initiatives
  • Assist with special projects and additional tasks
