About The Position

This is a full-time, in-person position supporting the financial operations of our growing company. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of independently managing the day-to-day bookkeeping functions of a busy trade business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience (trade or construction industry experience preferred)
  • Experience as a full-charge bookkeeper strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of payroll, AP, AR, and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of quarterly and annual tax processes (filing not required but helpful)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Professional discretion and integrity
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage weekly payroll
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (vendor bills, payments, check runs)
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections, posting payments)
  • Pay bills and write checks
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
  • Balance general ledger accounts
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with job cost tracking and project bookkeeping
  • Prepare financial reports for ownership
  • Coordinate with outside accountant (tax preparation handled externally)
  • Assist with bookkeeping-related administrative projects
