Zabransky Mechanical Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. This individual will be responsible for handling a wide range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting support, payroll backup, and general bookkeeping activities while working in conjunction with the other accounting team members.

The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, preferably within the construction industry, and be comfortable working independently while supporting the overall accounting function.

Requirements

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience handling full-charge bookkeeping responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable.
• Strong understanding of Bank Reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger.
• Strong understanding of Journal Entries.
• Strong understanding of Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of Month-End Close.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting experience within the construction industry.
• Experience with Sage accounting software.
• Familiarity with job costing and project-based accounting.
• Payroll processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping functions for the company.
• Process and maintain accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments.
• Assist with accounts receivable and collections as needed.
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support cash flow tracking and reporting.
• Prepare financial and accounting reports for management.
• Serve as backup for payroll processing and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate vendor, customer, and employee records.
• Assist with job cost tracking and project-related accounting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Work closely with management on special projects and process improvements.
