About The Position

The Fulfillment Specialist position is responsible for contributing to the daily operation of the DCI Fulfillment department, consisting of properly fulfilling customer orders and troubleshooting issues in our WMS across our two e-commerce brands. Other key responsibilities include maintaining packing station and fulfillment supplies, knowledge of the pick/pack and cycle counting processes and serving as a point of contact for carrier operations. This position requires a quick-thinking problem solver capable of effectively contributing to a dedicated team.

Requirements

  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues and recognizing problems and resolving appropriately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written/oral communication; able to set priorities and work with a diverse, dedicated team of employees from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and alongside a team with little supervision.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work M-F from 8:30am to 5:30pm plus overtime during peak season, potentially to include weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to prioritize objectives, while also being hands-on to ensure the job is done.
  • Experience and confidence with order fulfillment, processing, and shipping.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Spanish.
  • Ability to drive a reach truck.
  • Ecommerce experience.
  • Understanding and knowledge of WMS software, preferably Microsoft Business Central, as well as other Microsoft software programs (preferably Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Work with Fulfillment Supervisor to establish daily team member goals.
  • Manage supplies inventory and report purchasing needs.
  • Ensure packing stations are continuously stocked with materials.
  • Ability to lightly troubleshoot basic issues at pack stations (printer feed problems, etc.) and with conveyor scanning system, and communicate problems to Fulfillment Supervisor.
  • Ensure that daily fulfillment is completed efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and/or report order problems as they arise.
  • Train Fulfillment Associates and Sr. Associates on necessary fulfillment functions, such as pick/pack operations for both brands, stocking and consolidation, cycle counting, operating baler and warehouse general equipment safely, and processing put-away carts.
  • Watch for common issues and opportunities for re-training.
  • Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Creates a safe and clean working environment for maintaining employee safety and morale.
  • Serves as a contact for shipping carriers and assists/watches for issues as necessary.
  • Closes building along with Team Leads and follows closing procedures.
