Fulfillment Pharmacist (Weekday, Overnight Shift)
About The Position
Strive Pharmacy is a personalized compounding pharmacy focused on individualized care, clinical nuance, and genuine partnership with patients and providers. We are growing and seeking individuals who share our conviction for a more human approach to pharmacy. This role is for a full-time Fulfillment Pharmacist on our overnight team, playing a critical role in driving clinical excellence, patient safety, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying prescription orders, ensuring precise compounding calculations, conducting quality checks for sterile and non-sterile preparations, and adhering to SOPs, state regulations, and industry standards. The pharmacist will also serve as a clinical resource, offering guidance to healthcare providers, counseling patients, and ensuring medication quality and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active Arizona Pharmacist license
Nice To Haves
- Fulfillment experience in a retail setting or equivalent
- Experience in compounding
- Understanding of aseptic technique
- Familiarity with USP guidelines
Responsibilities
- Checking entered prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Performing calculations to ensure ingredients within a formula are measured and utilized properly
- Visually checking lots compounded in sterile and non-sterile labs
- Visually checking individual prescriptions to ensure color, consistency, and general appearance
- Answering and making clarification phone calls dedicated for pharmacists
- Counseling patients
- Offering guidance to providers regarding appropriate therapy and dosing for optimal individualized care
